Cauliflower Gratin

Crispy cauliflower encased in cheesy goodness. A perfect side dish to many meals as cauliflower is a versatile vegetable when it comes to mixing with different types of tastes due to its neutral flavor.

Ingredients

1 cauliflower

100 gr of grated gruyere

50 cl of milk

25 gr of butter

25 gr of flour

Salt

Pepper

Preparation

  • Cut the cauliflower into florets and cook it in a saucepan of salted boiling water until tender
  • Drain and set aside
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour and mix, pour in the cold milk, mixing with a whisk
  • When the béchamel sauce begins to have a nice consistency, never stop mixing, remove from the heat and transfer it to a bowl
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
  • Put the cauliflower florets in a gratin dish, pour the béchamel over them. Sprinkle with gruyere and bake for 30 minutes
  • Taste and add more salt and/or pepper if needed
